SC declines to stay NGT verdict Given relief on fine

Mantri Techzone filed their appeal in the Supreme Court against the judgement of the National Green Tribunal and moved through a team of senior advocates including Dushyant Dave . For the residents and petitioners, Harish Salve and Arvind Datar appeared.
In parallel, Credai filed its own application seeking to have the verdict set aside. Credai’s application was moved through Senior Advocate KK Venugopal.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court refused to admit Credai’s petition and demanded that Credai withdraw the same. The Petition was dismissed as withdrawn.
The Supreme Court declined to stay judgement of the National Green Tribunal as prayed for by Mantri. I fact the Supreme Court directed State Government authorities to strictly implement the new buffer zone guidelines.
Adverting to the plea from Mantri Techzone that the fine imposed be set aside, the Supreme Court agreed to keep the fine in abeyance until the date of the next hearing.
