‘No power cuts this summer’

powerckThe New Year promise from government and energy minister to withdrawing loadshedding that was in force for some time.
Energy minister DK Shivakumar announced this at a workshop organized by the KPTC for its newly recruited assistant engineers and assistant account officers on Friday. The minister hopes to provide continuous power supply through the summer.

While 700 MW is available from the Bellary Thermal Power Station, which started production on December 25, another 700 MW is expected to come in from the Yeramarus thermal plant from January-end.”
