The 6.4-kilometre Metro rail stretch between Mysuru Road and Magadi Road, Reach-2 on the elevated section of Phase I, was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah, Union Minister Ananth Kumar, City Mayor Manjunatha Reddy and other Ministers on Monday.
Passengers will be allowed to commute from November 18, 4 pm. The trains will run at 10 minutes frequency and the fares will be identical to Reach one fares.
This elevated West line is part of Reach-2 of Phase I of Metro and some of the stations covered are: Magadi Road, Hosahalli, Vijayanagara, Attiguppe, Deepanjali Nagar and (Nayandahalli) Mysuru Road. The entire East-West stretch including Under Ground Sections of Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park until Byappanahalli on Old Madras Road will be ready and open to the Public by mid-January 2016.
