ST Bed residents are spending sleepless nights for the past 10 days. Aggressive thieves for 5 consecutive days broke open the doors in the layout and robbed valuables from their homes, needless to say they were particularly fond of gold and silver ornaments.
ST Bed RWA Secretary Mohan Raju along with Ashok Agarwal, Harish, VibhakarBhusan, Satyanarayana and Purushotam met Corporator Ramachandra and informed regarding burglary and requested him to speak to Police Inspector Balachandra Nayak, who immediately sprung into action and responded to the suggestion of meeting the residents the following day at the ST Bed Residents’ Welfare Association office premises.
Police Inspector Balachandra Nayak met the residents and promised to step up night patrolling and adhered to the request made by the RWA to increase number of policemen patrolling the layout in the night despite have very less staff.
Meanwhile when Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy visited the layout for inaugurating the construction of retaining wall for the storm water drain, Mohan Raju and Rajendra Babu informed the recent thefts in the layout and Minister Ramalinga Reddy immediately called Balachandra Nayak and requested him to nab the culprits and step up night patrolling.
