KSRTC has won the prestigious National Smart Governance Award-2015 for its three projects with three awards during the 41st SKOCH Summit on “Transformative Governance’’ held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on Wednesday.
lOrganised City Bus services at small and medium towns and cities: KSRTC is the pioneer in introducing city bus services in small and medium towns and cities in India. At present KSRTC is operating in 12 cities, 564 schedules and 9016 trips per day, thereby increase of load-factor 70.71%, planned to start city bus services in another 8 cities.
lFly Bus: India’s first intercity airport bus service operating between Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru and Mysuru and KIA to Kundapur via Manipal. It provides an integrated mobility, offers class of service and improves accessibility. At present 6 buses operating to Kempegowda International Airport
l Staff Duty Rota and Leave Management Kiosk System: First of its kind initiative in Indian Road Transport Industry. Touch screen based, 24 X 7 staff friendly kiosk system, automated duty allocation based on seniority and counseling, transparent, corruption free leave accounting, time bound approval of leave, no scope for delays with SMS confirmation.
KSRTC’s these three projects have been rated amongst the ‘Top 8 Transport Projects in India’ for the year 2015. A jury of eminent experts has made this selection after going through a large number of nominations and over 300 presentations.
