Footpaths set to get a facelift near Jyoti Nivas College

Bengaluru District Incharge Minister and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy along with Koramangala Ward Corporator Chandrappa marked the commencement of providing cement concrete designer tiles to footpaths and improvements to drains at 1st Cross 5th block in the presence of Jyoti Nivas College Principal Dr Sr Elizabeth, residents of Koramangala, representatives of various RWAs in Koramangala, officials and others.
The function was held on Monday near Jyoti Nivas College gate in 5th Block of Koramangala.
The total cost of the works is estimated at Rs 92.56 lakh.
The works to be carried out are:
l Providing cement concrete designer tiles to footpath and improvements to drains at 1st Cross 5th block in ward no 151 Koramangala.
l Improvements to drains, shoulder drains and providing designer tiles to footpaths at Jyoti Nivas College road, Industrial layout 5th block.
Prior to the inauguration of works, Jyoti Nivas College authorities complained about irregular garbage clearance, clogging of sewage drains, faulty streetlights, etc to the newly elected Corporator Chandrappa.
They alleged that for the past eight years none of the officials turned up and as a result, the civic problems galored, at least now we hope it would be solved.
Hearing the grievances, the Corporator assured to solve them after making an inspection with the officials to the spot. He directed on the spot to BBMP electrical as well as health officials to look into the matter. Some of the residents living nearby too sought the Corporator to address the civic issues faced by them.
