city kempCentenary Celebrations of Gandhiji’s Return from South Africa.
Exhibition of Paintings by Artist Eby N. Joseph at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath Art Complex Kumarakrupa Road, Bengaluru, from April 8 to 14.
The exhibition will be opened on 8th April by 5 pm and it will continue till 14th April.
We are passing through the centenary year of the return of Mahatmaji from South Africa. After leaving India for South Africa in April 1893, though Gandhiji visited India twice, it was on 19th December, 1914 he bid good bye to South Africa and landed in Mumbai on 9th January, 1915. It was during his stay in South Africa that the Gandhian views were moulded and Sathyagraha movement formulated as a weapon to fight colonialism.
After reaching India Gandhiji became the political disciple of Gopalakrishna Gokhale and took over the leadership of Indian Independence struggle.
We live in an era where the Gandhian views, enriched with the universal manhood to interpret the national movement, in search of the last sidelined man capable of redirecting the national glory. Gandhiji realised the reality that there is nothing everlasting as the Truth, by making his own life as an experimental object.
We have to understand that nothing can exist as well as maintain the existence of this universe, without the coordination of Truth and Nonviolence.
This exhibition is a reminder; an attempt to weld the links, going to be separated. This is the 42nd exhibition by well-known Artist Eby N. joseph, who had achieved a mile stone by doing 1000 paintings in a series of exhibition titled KERALA DARSANAM.
