Horti Fair Sangam at Lalbagh

horti-webFruits and vegetables from 14 states are on sale including exotic varieties at a unique inter-state ‘Horti Fair Sangam’ being held at Lalbagh from January 9 to 11.
Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh inaugurated the fair Union Minister of Fertilisers and Chemicals Ananth Kumar was chief guest. State Minister for Horticulture and Agricultural Marketing Shamanur Shivashankarappa, Bengaluru District incharge and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy and others were the guests of honour.
Oranges, kinnows from Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, North Eastern states, West Bengal and Karnataka; grape and pomegranate of Karnataka and Maharashtra; spices and horticulture-based processed products of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, colour capsicum etc are on sale.
The event is being organised by the National Horticulture Board, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Department of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka.
horti1-webThere are over 60 stalls for different varieties of citrus, assorted fresh fruits, vegetables and dry fruits including NHB information centre to assist visitors about NHB’s schemes.
